Bachelor’s degree in History from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, master’s degree and doctorate in History from Colegio de México. Dr. Sánchez was part of the CONACyT Chair of the Interdisciplinary Program on Educational Policies and Practices of the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (Center for Economic Research and Teaching) (CIDE).
Dr. Sánchez was a research associate at the University of Quebec in Montreal. She belongs to Level 1 of the National System of Researchers. Among her publications are: Usos y funcionamiento de la cárcel novohispana, el caso de la Real Cárcel de Corte a finales del siglo XVII (Uses and operation of the Novohispanic prison, the case of the Royal Court Prison at the end of the XVII century), and De México para el mundo (From Mexico to the world).
