Welcome to the Department of Art of Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. We are an academic entity with more than six decades of teaching, researching, and disseminating studies of art in and from Mexico. We offer the academic programs of Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Master of Arts in Art Studies, and doctorate in History and Critical Theory of Art.
We are committed to the preservation and dissemination of artistic manifestations from our teaching practice and research lines, and in the classroom and our publications. We collaborate with a large number of museums, collections, and entities from the social, public, and private sectors. On a regular basis, our academic body participates in publications, exhibitions, consultancies, and national and international events.
On the eve of our 70th anniversary, we aspire to contribute with different programs of social relevance, support the implementation of public policies, and create a great space for artistic practices.
In addition to colloquia, conference cycles, round tables, and debates, we annually summon an international congress and participate in different experiences that allow the transfer of knowledge to different communities.
